Andy Krpata

Senior Pastor

God has gifted each one of us with the privilege and purpose of serving one another. Pastor Andy was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 2007 but has been pastoring since 1998. He has served five churches in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina, varying in size from 10 – 350 in attendance. His undergraduate degree is in music education from Susquehanna University and his Master of Divinity is from Evangelical School of Theology (now Evangelical Theological Seminary) in Myerstown, PA; Magna Cum Laude. Andy plays trombone and tuba and spent four years in the United States Marine Corps band before beginning his Divinity degree.

Andy and his wife, Melinda, have raised (and still are raising) four boys: Andrew (22), twins Timothy and Aaron (20), and Caleb (15). Melinda has a degree in music education as well and completed her Master of Arts in Worship Studies in Leadership from Liberty University. In addition to serving on the Lehman staff as the Director of Contemporary Worship, she is the instrumental music director and chapel coordinator at Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy (Philmont). Aaron and Caleb play in the Cross Connection (contemporary) band. Andrew works in detailing for CarSense in Hatfield and lives in Lansdale. Aaron is enrolled at Montgomery County Community College, seeking to become a physical therapist, and works at Speed Raceway. Timothy works at Town Line Auto in Warrington as a do-it-all tech. Two cats – Snubbles and Odin (Odie), and one dog - Molly – round out the family.

Pastor Andy received numerous awards, letters of appreciation, certificates of commendation, a meritorious promotion, and other accolades while serving in the Marine Corps. He was also awarded the J.C. Christman Practical Theology Award upon graduating seminary. He has served the East District in the past as the chairperson of the District Committee on Ministry, on the Committee on Church Building and Location, and has served the Eastern PA Conference on the Commission on Conference Sessions (worship sub-committee). Andy currently serves the Conference on the Board of Ordained Ministry as the Candidacy and Mentoring Liaison. His passions include offering creative, excellent, God-pleasing worship, and seeing the Church – any church – including Lehman Church - become, maintain and grow a true community. Future plans may include pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis in organizational leadership, and having a great time ministering to and with the Lehman Memorial UMC community! It's Andy's privilege and purpose!
