When we talk about financial stewardship, we might fall into the trap of thinking that God’s way is too hard. “First fruits” is just an expression, giving off the top is not practical, and the tithe is just impossible. But Jesus reminded us,

"Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full – pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38

God has designed how we as Christians manage our earthly resources. It is eminently fair, for everything belongs to Him. God’s way is not the hard way; it is the one way to maintain a proper perspective of God as our Provider, and us as stewards.
