We are returning to the sanctuary for worship!

On October 11, 2020, we will have two services and worship in our sanctuary. Here are the basic details - you'll find more specifics in our FAQ.

The time has come. We are pleased and excited to announce that we will be returning to worship in the sanctuary on October 11. We have determined we can do this safely and effectively, although we understand that the risk is something each of us has to assume.

While we are returning to the sanctuary, a lot will change from the routine we have grown accustomed to. So here's what you need to know about our return to the sanctuary:

We will have two services, contemporary at 9:15 a.m. and traditional at 10:45 a.m. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before each service begins to allow for an orderly transition.

All worshipers will enter the church through the Narthex and prior to entering the sanctuary, names and contact information will be collected to ensure our ability to do contract tracing in the event of a COVID exposure.

  • Temperatures will be taken using a no-touch thermal thermometer. Anyone having a temperature greater than 100.2 will not be permitted to enter the Sanctuary.

  • A hand sanitizing station has been placed at the entrance of the Sanctuary and everyone is encouraged to sanitize their hands before entering the Sanctuary.

  • Masks MUST be worn at all times while inside the church.

  • Social distancing of 6 feet should be maintained at all times while inside the church.

  • Our offerings will be taken with baskets on tables at the back of the Sanctuary.

  • Both front and back doors will be utilized for leaving the sanctuary.  Worshipers will dismiss at the direction of the ushers to maintain social distancing and to discourage mingling inside after the services.

Will choirs be singing? What's our plan for cleaning? Will we be singing hymns? Do I really have to wear a mask? All these questions and more are answered in our FAQ - if you can't find the answer to your question there, contact the church office by phone (215-675-2100) or via email.
