Holy Thursday Activity For Young People

An Invitation to a Special Holy Thursday Activity for Young People

Holy Thursday, March 29, 2018 6:45 p.m.  Rehearsal Room Beneath Fellowship Hall

Hello, Parents,

On the evening of Holy Thursday during the 7 PM service I would like to invite your sons and daughters to join us in the rehearsal room beneath Fellowship Hall. We will be having a time of sharing about what the Passover means. Please arrive at 6:45 PM.

In addition, there will be an opportunity for your son or daughter to make a Mezuzah, which is a parchment scroll inside a decoration for a doorpost. It was affixed to the doorposts of homes as a reminder of their connection to God. Several years ago my children made them and to this day they remain on the doorposts to their bedrooms. In fact, when we painted the hallway we took them down and my children asked that they be replaced after the paint dried.

The Disciples will be helping with the process of creating the Mezuzah for each individual.  After they have finished, everyone will return to the service just before communion so they can rejoin their families for this sacred time.

All ages from kindergarten to 12th grade are welcome! Please feel free to contact me at mupsych@aol.com if you need any other information or have any questions.
