Senses of Brokenness...
is a Lenten theme inspired by a series of photographs taken by Ken Patton, a friend of Pastor Bill. Drawing on the drama of Jesus' passion and death recorded in Matthew 26, the photographer took a series of pictures telling the story of Jesus' last days by using the five human senses of aroma, taste, vision, feel, and sound as images. Pastor Bill's series looks carefully at Matthew's portrait of Jesus in his encounters with others in Matthew 26. Each encounter will be illustrated by five current issues the church rarely talks about well:
sexuality, mental health, loneliness,
addiction, and doubt.
Each subject mirrors a sense of brokenness in people, families, organizations, and communities needing healing. Lent is a time of anticipating the healing love of the cross of Christ.
Our church-wide Lenten Bible Study is Adam Hamilton's
CREED: WHAT CHRISTIANS BELIEVE AND WHY.
On Sundays when you sign the covenant of friendship sheet,
please indicate if you are interested in the study
or call the church office at 215-675-2110.
Small groups will meet at the church and in homes at different times throughout each week during Lent. Times and places will be finalized soon. If your schedule does not permit you to attend any of the groups, please consider buying CREED and reading it on your own. This year we are asking all who participate to purchase their own book in whatever form suits them best.

Few of us will forget the brutal murder of children at an Amish Schoolhouse in October 2006. But can you imagine the horror of learning your husband was the perpetrator of this tragedy?
The Discipling Committee's Women's Ministry Team invites you to Lehman Church to hear guest speaker, Marie Monville, widow of the Amish Schoolhouse Shooter, share her amazing message of transformation. By focusing on the love of God, and believing HE IS—even in the darkest of circumstances —she has become a witness to His beautiful plan of redemption and restoration. Her story will deeply move and inspire you.
